Band mit Kultstatus als Herausforderung

Das erste mal sah ich Lazy Poker, (damals noch nicht Blues Band) anfangs 80er Jahre im Atlantis in Basel. Die Band rund um den sehr charismatischen Gitarristen Cla Nett, spielte über 800 Konzerte im In- und Ausland in renomierten Clubs und an Festivals. Sie spielte u.a. im Vorprogramm von Albert Collins, Joe Cocker und B.B. King. Die Band produzierte insgesamt 8 Lp’s und eine Doppel-CD, siehe Bild. Die Band formierte sich Ende 80er Jahren neu, und spielte mit Liliane Michel am Gesang mehrheitlich Blues, Soul und R&B Songs. Im Oktober 1993 war ich das zweite Mal in Chicago, wo ich mit Cla Nett und Stephan Pulver abmachte, die Vorbereitungen für Studioaufnahmen ihrer CD ¨Halsted Sessions¨ trafen. In dieser so tollen Zeit voller Blues in Chicago, konnten Cla und ich an zwei Konzerten zusammen mitspielen. Ende 1996 löste sich the Soul Damage Club temporär auf. Als mich Cla anfangs 1997 fragte, ob ich mir vorstellen könnte in der Lazy Poker Blues Band als Sänger und Harp-Spieler mitzuspielen, fühlte ich mich sehr geehrt in den ewigen Stammbaum dieser Kult-Band aufgenommen zu werden. Ich stimmte natürlich zu! Mit der damaligen Formation; Cla Nett, Urs Meyer, Andy Lang, Markus Werner und Beni Müller spielten wir an die 60 Konzerte. Cla, ich danke dir für diese wunderschöne Zeit. Du wirst für immer als grosser Bluesman mit einem grossen Herzen in meinem Herzen in Errinerung bleiben. Ruhe in Frieden Bluesbruder.

Band with cult status as a challenge

The first time I saw Lazy Poker, (at that time not yet Blues Band) was in the early 80s at the Atlantis in Basel. The band around the very charismatic guitarist Cla Nett, played over 800 concerts at home and abroad in renowned clubs and festivals. She played in the support of Albert Collins, Joe Cocker and B.B. King, among others. The band produced a total of 8 Lp’s and a double CD, see picture. The band reformed in the late 80s, and with Liliane Michel on vocals played mostly blues, soul and R&B songs. In October 1993, I was in Chicago for the second time, where I took off with Cla Nett and Stephan Pulver, who were making preparations for studio recordings of their CD ¨Halsted Sessions¨. In this such a great time full of blues in Chicago, Cla and I were able to play in two concerts together. At the end of 1996, the Soul Damage Club temporarily disbanded. When Cla asked me in early 1997 if I could imagine playing in the Lazy Poker Blues Band as a singer and harp player, I felt very honored to be included in the eternal family tree of this cult band. I agreed, of course! With the formation of that time; Cla Nett, Urs Meyer, Andy Lang, Markus Werner and Beni Müller we played about 60 concerts. Cla, iThank you for this wonderful time. You will forever be remembered as a great bluesman with a big heart in my heart. Rest in peace blues brother.

Un groupe culte comme défi

La première fois que j’ai vu Lazy Poker (qui n’était pas encore un groupe de blues), c’était au début des années 80 à l’Atlantis à Bâle. Le groupe, emmené par le très charismatique guitariste Cla Nett, a donné plus de 800 concerts en Suisse et à l’étranger dans des clubs et des festivals renommés. Elle a notamment joué en première partie d’Albert Collins, Joe Cocker et B.B. King. Le groupe a produit au total 8 Lp’s et un double CD, voir photo. Le groupe s’est reformé à la fin des années 80 et a joué, avec Liliane Michel au chant, une majorité de chansons de blues, de soul et de R&B. Il s’agit d’un groupe de musique de chambre. En octobre 1993, je me suis rendu pour la deuxième fois à Chicago, où j’ai conclu un accord avec Cla Nett et Stephan Pulver, qui se préparaient à enregistrer leur CD ¨Halsted Sessions¨ en studio. Pendant cette période si formidable de blues à Chicago, Cla et moi avons pu participer à deux concerts ensemble. Fin 1996, the Soul Damage Club s’est temporairement dissous. Lorsque Cla m’a demandé, début 1997, si je pouvais m’imaginer jouer dans le Lazy Poker Blues Band en tant que chanteur et harpiste, je me suis senti très honoré d’être intégré dans l’arbre généalogique éternel de ce groupe culte. J’ai bien sûr accepté ! Avec la formation de l’époque, Cla Nett, Urs Meyer, Andy Lang, Markus Werner et Beni Müller, nous avons joué près de 60 concerts. Cla, iJe te remercie pour ces merveilleux moments. Tu resteras à jamais dans mon cœur comme un grand bluesman au grand cœur. Repose en paix, frère de blues.

Banda de culto como reto

La primera vez que vi a Lazy Poker, (que por aquel entonces aún no era una Blues Band) fue a principios de los 80 en el Atlantis de Basilea. La banda, en torno al carismático guitarrista Cla Nett, dio más de 800 conciertos en su país y en el extranjero, en clubes de renombre y en festivales. Tocó como telonera de Albert Collins, Joe Cocker y B.B. King, entre otros. La banda produjo un total de 8 Lp’s y un doble CD, ver foto. La banda se reformó a finales de los 80, y tocaba sobre todo canciones de blues, soul y R&B con Liliane Michel a la voz. En octubre de 1993 estuve por segunda vez en Chicago, donde concerté con Cla Nett y Stephan Pulver la grabación en estudio de su CD ¨Halsted Sessions¨. Durante esta gran época llena de blues en Chicago, Cla y yo pudimos dar dos conciertos juntos. A finales de 1996, el Soul Damage Club se disolvió temporalmente. Cuando Cla me preguntó a principios de 1997 si me imaginaba tocando en la Lazy Poker Blues Band como cantante y arpista, me sentí muy honrado de ser incluido en el eterno árbol genealógico de esta banda de culto. Estuve de acuerdo, ¡por supuesto! Con la formación de entonces; Cla Nett, Urs Meyer, Andy Lang, Markus Werner y Beni Müller dimos unos 60 conciertos. Cla , iGracias por este maravilloso momento. Siempre serás recordado como un gran bluesman con un gran corazón en mi corazón. Descansa en paz hermano azul.
